Overarch secured on Exoscale
Overarch, the Risknowledge flagship SaaS tool for model validation, model rectification, model selection, and estimation of actual risk, has chosen Exoscale as its infrastructure provider to securely run its API microservices and store data on a SQL database.
Exoscale relies on rock-solid infrastructure components and engineering to ensure maximum scalability, reliability, and performance. Exoscale is based in Lausanne, Switzerland, with data centers spread out through Switzerland, Austria, Germany, and Bulgaria.
Overarch exposes API endpoints and frontends which run as microservices on a scalable Kubernetes cluster managed by Exoscale (SKS). Access is secured by authentication and state-of-the-art encryption.
The infrastructure used by Overarch is instantiated in minutes using Terraform workflow scripts. The instantiation includes an instance of an SKS cluster and and an instance of a DBasS SQL database.
The Overarch Terraform workflows are implemented using the Exoscale examples as a baseline and are run using the Terraform Exoscale provider.
Overarch microservices are built and deployed using CI/CD Gitea workflows and proprietary Helm charts.
The scalability of the Overarch SKS cluster is provided by the Exoscale cluster autoscaler which guarantees fast adaptive performance to the heavy compute demand from Overarch microservices.
To achieve this, the DBasS Exoscale cluster is configured using high availability on 3 nodes to obtain the best read performance.
Moreover, a read replica is configured on a different data center for security and redundancy.
Exoscale's robust documentation and support streamlined the infrastructure setup, deployment, and operation of the Overarch platform.
